District Position Inclusive ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ 1.0CONTTeacher Psychologist (located at the School Board Office). Please refer to the Job Description Attached. ResponsibilitiesConducts psycho-educational assessments to identify student strengths and needs and recommend appropriate interventions and supportsCollaboratively consults with school-based teams, District teams (e.g., Inclusive ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½, Safe Schools, Curriculum Transformation), parents/guardians, and community agencies (e.g., Community Living BC, MCFD) regarding student strengths and needs, their educational implications, and ways to enhance learning and well-beingMakes recommendations to the District Principal of Inclusive ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ Services regarding student eligibility for specific BC Ministry of ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ categoriesAssists in the development of student IEPs as appropriateProvides guidance to Inclusion Support Teachers regarding the use of Level B assessment tools and provide in-service training in this areaProvides additional in-service for educators and support staff as requiredStays current with educational and psychological research to inform practiceÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ and Experience Doctorate or masters degree in school/educational psychology or related field with a focus on school psychologyRegistration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia or eligible for registrationKnowledge of the BC Ministry of ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ Inclusive ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ Services Manual of Policies, Procedures, and Guidelines Possess a valid drivers license and reliable vehicle for travel between schools The starting annual salary for this teaching position ranges from $58,635 to $106,217, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
