The 乌鸦传媒 announces the upcoming retirement of David Strange, Associate Superintendent, effective this summer. David has provided steady, student-centered leadership throughout his tenure and leaves behind a legacy defined by care, integrity, and service.

David has played a critical role in SD62, overseeing elementary education, curriculum, emergency planning, early childhood education and childcare, and healthy schools. His thoughtful leadership and unwavering commitment to supporting students, families, and staff have left a lasting and positive impact across our district.

David began his journey in SD62 in 1997 as a teacher on call before moving to SD79, where he taught at Lake Cowichan Secondary. Over his more than two decades with SD62, David鈥檚 calm and compassionate approach has helped guide the district through growth and change. His steady presence and quiet wisdom have shaped how we support students and care for one another as colleagues.

While we will miss David deeply, we are grateful for his years of service and wish him all the very best in his next chapter. Details regarding the recruitment process for his successor will be shared in the coming weeks.

Please join us in celebrating David鈥檚 remarkable contributions to public education and in thanking him for his many years of dedication and service to the 乌鸦传媒.
